Karen Kohlhaas to teach master classes

Karen Kohlhaas, founding member and senior teacher at New York’s Atlantic Theater Company, will be teaching two master classes for auditors and working actors:

 

Saturday, November 21, 12-4 pm

Script Analysis & Performance Technique for Scene Study & Cold Reading

 

Sunday, November 22, 1-5 pm

Performing the Monologue

 

The classes will be held at the State School of Acting, 719 Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78701.

Karen Kohlhaas, founding member with David Mamet of New York’s Atlantic Theater Company,

is a renowned senior teacher at the Atlantic Acting School. Her books include The Monologue Audition:  

A Practical Guide for Actors and How to Choose a Monologue for Audition. She currently is working on a feature documentary, Tennessee Williams in the Mississippi Delta: The Love of Things Irreconcilable.

 

These classes are presented with the generous help of the State Theatre.
