MEDEA Auditions Dancers, Tall Guards, 8 Year-old Boy

Austin Shakespeare is offering free a workshop 6:30 pm, Sunday, January 3 as an audition for female dancers to perform as part of the "Chorus" in the Greek tragedy MEDEA at the Long Center Rollins Theater for 13 performances over 3 weekends. Movers/ Dancers with a modern dance training. Especially seeking a woman age 40+. Varied ethnicities ENCOURAGED. Contact: auditions@austinshakespeare.org 
Paid stipends. Choreography by Toni Bravo; direction by Ann Ciccolella. Franchelle Dorn as "Medea."
Dancers should be available for rehearsals weekday evenings and Saturdays & Sundays from February 9-15 for technical rehearsals. Performances 8 pm, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 3 pm, Sundays from February 18-March 6. Preview Wednesday, February 17.

Also seeking a boy of color between the ages 8-10 years old to play one of Medea's sons and male actors who are six feet tall+ to play guards and serve as crew. All positions have some pay.
