Six creative actors bring to life scenes from the hero’s epic adventures! Austin Shakespeare is creating a new production of Homer’s The Odyssey with daytime performances for grades 6-12 - October 9 & 10 at 10:00 am

and evening performances for the general public -

October 11 & 12 at 7:30 pm 

at the Long Center’s Rollins Theater.

 

Artistic Director, Ann Ciccolella has written a new adaptation that promises an imaginative and entertaining 70-minute performance in the intimate Rollins theater, concluding in a Q&A with director and actors. From fighting with Cyclops to escaping the Sirens’ song, we share Odysseus' trials, culminating in his dramatic homecoming. Suitable for students who have studied The Odyssey, as well as those new to it.
