Austin Shakespeare is offering free a workshop from 6:30 pm Sunday, Dec. 13 as an audition for female dancers to perform as part of the "Chorus" in the Greek tragedy Medea at the Long Center Rollins Theatre for 13 performances over 3 weekends. Dancers should be available for rehearsals weekday evenings and Saturdays & Sundays from Feb. 9-Feb. 26; and for technical rehearsals and performances 8 pm Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 3 pm and Sundays from Feb. 25-March 6. Dancers can be of varied ages. If you are unable to attend on Dec. 13, but are interested, please apply and additional arrangements will be made.
Austin Shakespeare is also seeking two children of color between the ages 8-10 years old to act in the production and actors to play guards and to serve as stage crew. All positions are paid.
