Austin Shakespeare welcomes experienced professional actors (Equity/Non-Equity) to open auditions 7 pm Monday, February 19, 2018 by appointment only. Auditions will be for actors who have not yet auditioned by this season. Shakespeare’s The Merry Wives of Windsor, Texas will be performed in Zilker Hillside Theater May 3-27. Actors of all ethnicities are welcome; rehearsals evenings and weekends in April. Audition By appt only email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Auditioners should prepare a 1 to 2 minute piece of heightened language; can include pieces from Merry Wives. Audition speeches should be memorized or read with familiarity. On occasion, Austin Shakespeare uses cross-gender casting. Also, age range noted in character descriptions is a matter of appearance. Auditioners should always familiarize themselves with the plays they are auditioning for. All roles open for Merry Wives of Windsor Texas.

Merry Wives will be directed by Austin Shakespeare Artistic Director, Ann Ciccolella.
