Austin Shakespeare’s Young Shakespeare program is a tuition based program with entry pending successful audition. This month-long acting intensive summer performance group for students aged 13-19, culminates with a production of Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice.

Returning for the summer of 2026 with a production of Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice. Students will engage with the Bard live at Austin’s Scottish Rite Theatre in downtown Austin. This intensive month-long experience will result in its final culmination of a student-performed, professionally staged production for the whole family to enjoy.
